I recently read through Boswell's London journal and have also skimmed through a biography about him. Now I am just curious to know if he has any direct living descendants? It seems to me that most of his children died either young or childless.
And thank you to the webmaster for compiling the biographies of so many of the people he writes about in his journal. It has given me a whole new understanding of the context and meaning of many of his entries.

Is anyone aware of any Boswell societies that actually meet and discuss Boswell topics, something akin to the Baker Street Irregulars, or the various Wodehouse clubs? This website is wonderful, but isn't quite the same as geeking out together on your favorite new interest!

I (very) recently came across Phillip Baruth's excellent thriller "The Brothers Boswell", a fictional account of James Boswell's younger brother John's jealousy of his brother's friendship with Dr. Johnson, and his attempt to murder them both. The books is, of course, pure fiction but it draws heavily on anecdotes and descriptions from Boswell's journals and his Life of Johnson.
I would like to compile a list of Boswell in fiction, and I need your help.
There are numerous references to Boswell in works of fiction, and you are very welcome to write about those, but my main interest just now is to learn more about actual fictionalized accounts of James Boswell.
