George Talbot Hatley Foote
Son of Benjamin Hatley Foote and Mary Mann. Barrister-at-law of Lincoln's Inn, educated at St. Mary Hall, Oxford.
In 1797 he had a London residence at 15 Henrietta Street. In 1799 he took a lease of Malling Abbey in West Malling. He bought it in 1808 and lived there until his death in 1821.
Boswell met Foote in the company of Sir James Macdonald and others in Oxford on April 23, 1763.
