Friedrich Wilhelm von Wylich
Major General in 1763. Son of Johann Christoph von Wylich (1681-1727), and Hermine Alexandrine von Wittenhorst (1685-1745). Married (1763) to Anna Dorothea Scherff.
Boswell informs us, that he is a cousin to Baron von Spaen, probably as a consequence of the marriage in 1681 between Dietrich von Wylich (1649-1709) and Florentina Anna von Spaen (b. ca. 1660).
Boswell was recommended to General Wylich, presumably by Baron von Spaen, and, on July 22, 1764, talked to him in the royal garden in Berlin.
