Eleonora Dorothea von Schlotheim
Lady-in-waiting to Duchess Luise Dorothea of Saxe-Gotha ca. 1757-1770. Granddaughter of a Madame de Rüxleben, who had accompanied Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha to London in 1736 on the eve of her wedding to Frederick, Prince of Wales (1707-1751).1
Boswell, who erroneously referred to her as Mademoiselle Slotiem in his journal, met von Schlotheim at the Court of Gotha, which he visited for several days in October 1764. When he took leave of the ladies of the court on October 20 of that year, Von Schlotheim said to him "Je crois vous etes liant".
Unless otherwise noted, the source for a dated quotation of Boswell's is generally the corresponding volume of the Yale Trade Editions of Boswell's journals.
