Antonio Rivarola
Born 1719   Died 1795  

Son of Corsican general Domenico Rivarola (1687-1748)1. Sometime Sardinian Consul to the Court of Tuscany living in Leghorn ca. 1765.

 

Boswell secured from Rivarola several letters of recommendation for use on his Corsican expedition, on which he embarked from Leghorn (Livorno) on October 11, 1765.

In his Account of Corsica Boswell referred to Rivarola as "my very good friend".
