Frances Floyer

Birth: 1745
Death: 1798

Daughter of Charles Floyer (ca. 1713-1766), Governor of Madras (1747-1750), and Mary Berriman. Married (1770) to John Erskine. They had at least 9 children. Cousin of Norton Nicholls, her father being the brother of Nicholls' mother, Jane.

Life with James Boswell

Boswell at some time briefly considered her as a possible candidate for marriage (letter to Temple of September 25, 1763). He had met her a few months earlier in London.
