Boswell for the Defence was first published by William Heinemann Ltd. in 1960, and was released in two versions, the standard edition and a limited deluxe edition in 350 numbered copies. The latter is fairly rare to come by, although I have seen it sell for as little as £50 at Abebooks. It should be possible to find the standard edition for less than £5, also at Abebooks.
Note: The 1989 play Boswell of the Defence starring Leo McKern does not have anything to do with this volume of Boswell's journals, rather it is a fictionalised account of Boswell taking place in 1793.
