James Ferguson. (1735-1820) (aka. Young Fergusson of Pitfour)

3rd Laird of Pitfour. Son of James Ferguson and Anne Murray. He never married and died without issue. Advocate. MP for Banffshire (1789-90), MP for Aberdeenshire (1790-1820).

Boswell breakfasted with James and his brother Patrick Ferguson on November 7, 1762, in Edinburgh. He dined or breakfasted with Ferguson on the next two days as well.
