Biography

Augusta Dorothea. (1749-1803) (aka. of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel)

Daughter of Karl I of Brunswick and Phillipine Charlotte of Prussia. She was the last Abbess at the Abbey of Gandersheim, through which she was also a member of the College of the Prelates of the Rhine.

Life with James Boswell:

Boswell danced with her at the court of Brunswick on August 13, 1764.
